Saving a woodpecker

I had to run full out to save this baby woodpecker from certain death from two crows that were hot on its heels. The crows tried two more times to snatch the woodpecker right in front of me....even after I yelled at them as loud as I could. The Nerve! This could be war on crows for me. I managed to throw a jacket over him and safely rap this beautiful young bird in a tea towel. I then left him or her in the tea towel for a couple hours in my van so it could rest up and then drove him to a less dangerous location....As I set him free on the forest floor near the Burrard bridge I could hear the crows in the distance...Crowing…I hope this little one made it!
